Лишь около 20% больных, перенесших инсульт, возвращаются к активной профессиональной деятельности. Около 40% остаются тяжелыми инвалидами, часто требующими постороннего ухода. Естественно, это заболевание является огромной медико-социальной проблемой, так как ведет к уменьшению количества работоспособного населения в стране, а уход за больными тяжелым бременем ложится на плечи государства и родственников. Решающее значение в снижении смертности и инвалидизации после перенесенного инсульта принадлежит первичной и вторичной профилактике, которая заключается в превентивном лечении бессимптомных больных с выраженными факторами риска развития инсульта и активным снижением риска повторного инсульта у переболевших пациентов.Результаты многочисленных исследований влияния статинов на частоту сердечно-сосудистых событий подтверждают безусловное преимущество этих препаратов при первичной и вторичной профилактике коронарной болезни и ЦВБ. Лечение АГ с достижением целевого уровня АД и регрессией IMT, как основных факторов риска, является основной задачей первичной и вторичной профилактики инсульта. Сочетанное влияние на эти патологические процессы (атеросклероз и АГ) может внести весомый вклад в снижение количества первичного и повторного ишемического инсульта и ТИА, снизить инвалидность и смертность в этой группе больных.</p></abstract></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Гусев Е.И.
