Развитие обострений заболевания часто служит основной причиной обращений за медицинской помощью, госпитализаций и летальных исходов. Частота обострений является одним из наиболее важных факторов, определяющих качество жизни больных ХОБЛ, темпы прогрессирования заболевания и экономические потери [1]. Начиная с 1964 г. было опубликовано более 4000 научных статей, посвященных проблеме использования антибиотиков при ХОБЛ. Однако лишь ограниченное количество проведенных клинических исследований оказалось пригодным для включения в международные согласительные документы по лечению ХОБЛ [2]. Несмотря на издание ряда национальных и международных руководств, основывающихся на принципах доказательной медицины, ряд вопросов, касающихся проведения антибактериальной терапии при обострениях ХОБЛ, является предметом дискуссий. К таким вопросам относятся положение о ключевой роли бактерий в развитии обострений и определение клинических и биологических маркеров, позволяющих выявить различия между бактериальной и другими причинами обострений ХОБЛ, также о том, насколько эффективны разные антибактериальные препараты в сравнении друг с другом и плацебо, какой именно антибиотик должен быть назначен пациенту с обострением ХОБЛ</p></abstract></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Miravitlles M, Zalacain R, Murio C et al.
