Бронхообструктивный синдром – наиболее часто встречающееся состояние в пульмонологии, характерное для большинства бронхолегочных заболеваний (бронхиальная астма – БА, хроническая обструктивная болезнь легких – ХОБЛ, бронхиальная обструкция при респираторных вирусных заболеваниях). Это состояние требует коррекции и может представлять реальную угрозу жизни пациента. Для купирования приступов удушья и бронхоспазма у пациентов с БА b-адреномиметики короткого действия были впервые использованы в 1903 г. Первым препаратом был универсальный прямой b-адреноагонист эпинефрин (адреналин). Большое количество выявленных нежелательных явлений – головная боль, задержка мочи, артериальная гипертензия – и в то же время подтверждение участия b-адренорецепторов (АР) в патогенезе БА и обструктивных заболеваний легких привели к поиску новых препаратов этой группы.
