Интерес к гастроэзофагеальной рефлюксной болезни (ГЭРБ), связанный, в первую очередь, с ее чрезвычайно высокой распространенностью и продолжающимся ростом заболеваемости, нашел отражение в постулате "ХХ век – век язвенной болезни, а ХХI век – это век ГЭРБ", прозвучавшем на VI Объединенной гастроэнтерологической неделе (Бирмингем, 1997).Несмотря на значительное количество исследований, посвященных терапии ГЭРБ, единая концепция фармакотерапии данной нозологии не принята. В качестве альтернативных рассматриваются две стратегии медикаментозного лечения. Первая из них, "поэтапно-возрастающая", предусматривает на начальном этапе лечения изменение образа жизни и диету, а также применение альгинатов или антацидных препаратов.
