За последнее десятилетие благодаря значительным достижениям в медицине в понимании этиологии, патогенеза, диагностики и лечения эректильной дисфункции (ЭД) достигнуты значительные результаты. Особенный скачок в изучении данной проблемы связан с открытием положительного действия на ЭД препаратов группы ингибиторов фосфодиэстеразы 5-го типа (ФДЭ-5), изначально синтезированных для лечения сердечно-сосудистых заболеваний. Этот эффект оказался настолько выраженным, что в настоящее время ингибиторы ФДЭ-5 являются препаратами 1-й линии при лечении ЭД.
