Заболевание невлияет на фертильность, однако может ухудшать течение и исходы беременности [1]. Частота преждевременных родов у женщин, страдающих РА, достигает 25% случаев по сравнению с 10% у здоровых женщин, а средний вес детей, в том числе доношенных, достоверно ниже, чем у женщин без данного заболевания [2]. Кроме того, у беременных пациенток с РА выше риск развития преэклампсии и чаще встречаются показания к кесареву сечению [3]. Неблагоприятные исходы беременности коррелируют с активностью воспалительного процесса в суставах, поэтому рациональное лечение РА в период гестации приносит пользу не только матери, но и ребенку. Однако выбор лекарственных средств (ЛС) в период гестации осложняется тем, что многие из препаратов, применяемых для лечения РА, обладают эмбриотоксическим и тератогенным действием, что требует заблаговременного планирования беременности и тщательной подготовки к ней.Возможности фармакотерапии РА у беременных женщин достаточно широки [7].
