Безусловно, с функциональной точки зрения невозможно отделить мочевой пузырь и предстательную железу и в связи с этим нельзя отрицать того, что развитие симптомов гиперактивного мочевого пузыря (ГМП) у мужчин, возможно, имеет патогенетическую взаимосвязь с аденомой предстательной железы (АПЖ). Оба состояния, АПЖ и ГМП, являются весьма распространенными у мужчин старшего возраста, при этом симптомы ГМП в одинаковой степени наблюдают как у мужчин, так и женщин.
