Современные антагонисты кальция благодаря своим фармакологическим особенностям хорошо переносятся, что способствует хорошей приверженности больных лечению. Доказана эффективность антагонистов кальция не только как средств для снижения артериального давления (АД), но и как препаратов, влияющих на риск неблагоприятных исходов. Ряд метаанализов исследований с использованием препаратов этой группы показал, что антагонисты кальция имеют определенные преимущества перед препаратами других групп по предотвращению цереброваскулярных событий. Вместе с тем группа антагонистов кальция неоднородна и отличается по своему химическому строению, особенностям фармакокинетики и фармакодинамики. Лерканидипин (Занидип®-Рекордати, Recordati Ireland Ltd) относится к дигидроперидиновым антагонистам кальция.
