The aim of this review is to assess the efficacy and safety of α-lipoic acid (ALA, thioctic acid) in treatment of DN. ALA is an effective and safe treatment of DN, associated with strong and rapid antinociceptive action with delayed pathogenetic effects. In clinical practice, ALA can be used as a treatment of choice in patients with semeiotic DN associated with light and moderate sensorial deficit, as well as in case of combination of DN and the autonomic nervous system disorders.</p>
В клинической практике АЛК может быть препаратом выбора у больных с симптомной ДПН в сочетании с легким и умеренным сенсорным дефицитом, а также при сочетании ДПН с поражением вегетативной нервной системы.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>diabetes mellitus</kwd><kwd>diabetic polyneuropathy</kwd><kwd>a-lipoic acid</kwd><kwd>thioctic acid</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>сахарный диабет</kwd><kwd>диабетическая полинейропатия</kwd><kwd>a-липоевая кислота</kwd><kwd>тиоктовая кислота</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Бреговский В.Б., Посохина О.В., Карпова И.А.
