Alleviation of excessive muscle tone with botulinum toxin A injections coupled with motor skill learning are essential for motor rehabilitation. Botulinum toxin therapy should be included into the structure of multimodal rehabilitation to decrease muscle tone and to provide conditions for adequate motor rehabilitation. The algorithm of rehabilitation measures for stroke and traumatic brain injury patients should be based on a stage-by-stage approach to medical care and multidisciplinary rehabilitation procedures.</p>
Алгоритм реабилитационных мероприятий для пациентов, перенесших инсульт или черепно-мозговую травму, должен основываться на этапности оказания медицинской помощи и принципе междисциплинарной реабилитации.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>spasticity</kwd><kwd>focal lesions of the central nervous system</kwd><kwd>stroke</kwd><kwd>traumatic brain injury</kwd><kwd>botulinum toxin A</kwd><kwd>rehabilitation</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>спастичность</kwd><kwd>очаговое повреждение центральной нервной системы</kwd><kwd>острое нарушение мозгового кровообращения</kwd><kwd>черепно-мозговая травма</kwd><kwd>ботулинический токсин типа А</kwd><kwd>реабилитация</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Dong Y, Wu T, Hu X, Wang T.
